Sarah Lewis
Economic Justice Specialist
Sarah is an Economic Justice Specialist at the NNEDV. Sarah has more than 20 years of experience in the field of international banking and finance, and while living in London, Luxembourg and The Bahamas worked for major financial institutions such as Citigroup and Chase Manhattan Bank as well as UK, French, Swiss, Swedish, and Brazilian international banking groups. Sarah's experience includes international financial operations management, marketing and business development, relationship management for wealth services for high net worth clients, financial controls, legal/compliance and anti-money laundering, and relations with governmental financial regulatory authorities. Her work required use of language skills in French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian. Sarah then served for two years as a Career Counselor for students at Colgate University, a role which involved working closely with a range of non-profit organizations providing internship experience for students. Before joining the NNEDV, Sarah worked on a temporary contract in the financial management and reporting area of the Pan American Health Organization. Sarah has balanced her professional focus with being active in various community-based, artistic and cultural interests, including serving in Central New York State as a hotline counselor for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
