Sarah Tucker
Technology Safety Specialist
Sarah Tucker is a Technology Safety Specialist with Safety Net: the National Safe & Strategic Technology Project. Through training, technical assistance, and policy advocacy, she addresses all forms of technology that impact survivors of stalking, sexual violence and domestic violence. Over the past eight years, Sarah has worked to end domestic violence at the local, state, and national levels through outreach and education focused on underserved populations. Before joining the Safety Net Project in 2004, Sarah coordinated NNEDV's Altria Doors of Hope grant program, including a pioneering outcome measures initiative. Through her work at the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence and as a local advocate, she provided bilingual (English-Spanish) advocacy services. She has co-authored several articles on the use of technology and violence against women, which have been published in a variety of journals including the Mississippi Law Journal & the Journal of Violence Against Women. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts, has nine years experience with website design/maintenance and 14 years of experience providing computer literacy training.
