Shaina Goodman
Public Policy Coordinator
As the Public Policy Coordinator, Shaina advocates to improve federal legislation and increase resources to address and prevent domestic violence. Prior to joining NNEDV, Shaina worked in the domestic violence field in various capacities, including as a courtroom advocate, campus advocate, educator and trainer. She has done research on domestic violence in the Jewish community, the history of the domestic violence movement, the impact of sexual assault programming on college campuses, and the effectiveness of dance movement therapy for domestic violence survivors and their children. She is also passionate about social justice work more broadly, especially as it relates to privilege, oppression, and intergroup dialogue. Shaina received her JD and a Master’s in Social Work, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Women & Gender Studies, from Washington University in St. Louis.
