Emergency Shelters Provide Lifesaving Services to Survivors and their Children

Washington, D.C. (July 30, 2010) NNEDV today commended the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee for approving $140 million for the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA).  This vote on the Labor, Health and Human Services (LHHS) bill is a critical step toward securing an increased investment in lifesaving services in 2011.
