The House Judiciary Committee will be marking up HR 4970 today. Please continue to call your Representatives now and tell them this is not the REAL VAWA! They need to hear from you about how this bill is damaging to victims. The managers amendment released yesterday further weakens the new emergency housing transfer section by striking a requirement that landlords give notice of VAWA rights at eviction. This is just one example of the harmful provisions in this bill.
