NNEDV, The Allstate Foundation Up for Best Partnership Award -- VOTE Today!
Each year, the Business Civic Leadership Center recognizes leading companies and their nonprofit partners through The Best Partnership Award.
This year, The Allstate Foundation and its national nonprofit partners at the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) are among the top five Best Partnership finalists competing for top honors through a public vote from September 19 to October 28, 2011.
Nearly one in four women experience domestic violence during their lifetime -- and financial insecurity is a leading reason women remain trapped by abuse. To address this issue, Allstate and The Allstate Foundation partnered with NNEDV to systematically change this trend.
"The results of the Allstate-NNEDV partnership are not only impressive, but they also meet an incredible social need while increasing financial literacy and independence for women. This is why the U.S. Chamber is honored to recognize them as a finalist in the Best Partnership category of the 2011 Citizens Awards," said U.S. Chamber Founder and Executive Director Stephen Jordan.
Combining the same skills and resources Allstate agents use every day with NNEDV's expertise in domestic violence, this dynamic duo is changing the array of services available to help survivors better understand their personal finances and build assets.
Building financial know-how is critical for everyone, but for domestic violence survivors is can be life-saving. We need your vote to draw awareness to the issue of economic empowerment and this unique partnership.
