Technology & Confidentiality Tools for Innovative Partnerships Conference

To Share or Not To Share: Technology & Confidentiality Tools for Innovative Partnerships conference. January 13-15, 2009, in Miami, FL

The Safety Net Team will be holding a conference, "To Share or Not To Share: Technology & Confidentiality Tools for Innovative Partnerships" from January 13-15, 2009, in Miami, FL. Innovative and collaborative partnerships face various confidentiality issues in regards to technology use, such as technology location, ownership, use, and security; data collection and databases; confidentiality requirements; and protocols and policies.

From technology to templates, this free conference will provide various strategies for navigating complex collaborations and innovative partnerships. Topics will include: technology abuse and survivor safety, assessing technology safety practices, specific issues for specific partnerships, data on the web and in databases, confidentiality and VAWA 2005, and much more.

This conference is for OVW grantees, who are collaborating, co-locating, and coordinating services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking, which includes but is not limited to coordinated community response (CCRs); sexual assault response teams (SARTs); co-locating advocates, police, and others; and innovative partnerships.

Registration is free, but participants can use OVW funds for travel, meals, and hotel costs. Priority will be given to Arrest Grantees, but the conference is open to all grantees depending on available space.
