Resources and Publications

NNEDV works to address and respond to needs identified by victims by providing tools that strengthen advocacy and help change the way society responds to domestic violence. This section provides online access to some of NNEDV's many publications, and provides links to other valuable resources.

  • U.S. National Census of Domestic Violence Services - Annual Census Reports
Conducted by NNEDV since 2007, this Census is designed to protect the safety and confidentiality of victims. Annual reports highlight findings from an unduplicated count of adults and children seeking services from domestic violence shelter programs in the United States during a single 24-hour survey period.
  • Economic Justice
This provides links to consumer and educational resources. See also, NNEDV's Financial Tips for Victims and Survivors.
  • Employment Opportunities
This includes descriptions of NNEDV jobs as well as employment listings for other domestic violence organizations across the U.S.
  • U.S. National Organizations & Projects
NNEDV works closely with an array of U.S. national organizations and projects that provide a wealth of resources and assistance regarding domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking.
  • U.S. State & Territory Domestic Violence Coalitions
NNEDV represents state domestic violence coalitions in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Domestic violence coalitions serve as statewide leaders in efforts to end domestic violence. State domestic violence coalitions connect local domestic violence services throughout their state and are a valuable resource for state-specific information about services, programs and legislation to support victims of domestic violence.
  • Technology Safety
NNEDV's Safety Net Project creates many resources for victims & the agencies that serve them. Check out safety plans, check lists, tips sheets, articles and papers addressing ways that different technologies impact victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual violence and stalking. Topics include data security, spyware, tech savvy teens, online service provision, confidentiality and privacy issues, and more. Several pieces are available in multiple languages (English, Spanish, French, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Somali, Russian). See also, NNEDV's webpage on Internet & Computer Safety.
