NCLC is a nonprofit corporation that serves as a consumer law resource center for legal answers, policy analysis, technical assistance and legal support, particularly on issues involving consumer fraud, debt collection, consumer-finance law and sustainable homeownership programs. NCLC provides free consumer information on topics such as credit, scams, fraud, foreclosure prevention and reverse mortgages. It also sponsors conferences, training and other events on consumer issues. A number of guides on consumer rights are available for purchase from the website, including the “Guide to Consumer Rights for Domestic Violence Survivors.”
